Miami International Piano Festival - Classical Sundays at Five- January 13, 2013


Welcome to the 16th annual Miami International Piano Festival! This year’s Festival takes place at several beautiful South Florida concert halls and feature performances by the most promising pianists who clearly have the potential for achieving successful lifelong careers.
            The organization’s goal is to provide the artists with world-class performance venues, allow them free interpretive expression, and give them exposure to new audiences, critics, managers and orchestra leaders.
             The artists are invited to the Festival from every corner of the world with many making their Florida or U.S. debuts. The Miami International Piano Festival was established in 1998 as the public outreach vehicle for Patrons of Exceptional Artists.
             The Miami International Piano Festival announces a series of new musical events during its 16th Anniversary season, all featuring classical piano music artistry with internationally acclaimed pianists and artists from around the world.
             The new 2012-2013 Festival Series events will be held at select world-class performance venues throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties, including:
  • Four Classical Sundays at Five, an intimate salon series to be held at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center


  • January 13, 2013 ERIC FERRAND N'KAOUA (France) at 5:00 PM
    February 3, 2013 "Prodigies & Masters of Tomorrow" SIJING YE (China) at 5:00 PM
    April 21, 2013 MICHAEL KLOTZ (Viola) & KEMAL GEKIC (Piano) at 5:00 PM

  • The Master Series, exploring the genius of French Impressionist composers such as Debussy and Ravel, to be held at Broward Performing Arts Center (March 3-5)
  • Music Meets Painting, showcasing visual artists inspired to paint a masterpiece before our eyes accompanied by a classical pianists’ rendition of the great works of Bach, Beethoven, or Chopin, to be held in various galleries in the flourishing Wynwoodarts district of Miami’s downtown.
  • An exclusive opportunity to hear Beethoven’s Nine Symphonies [link] performed live by nine exceptional pianists in a single day at Broward Performing Arts Center, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, will top off the season.
