The Miami Short Film Festival (MsFF) is celebrating 10 continuous years of bringing excellent cinema to South Florida. The Miami Short Film Festival will be held November 14-20, 2011 at the Colony Theatre, located at 1040 Lincoln Road, in South Beach. Over the years MsFF has been accepting short films from all over the world. In 2010, MsFF received over 500 submissions from Australia, Iran, Japan, Mexico, and Argentina to name a few. The Festival's awards are without a doubt becoming one of the world's most coveted prizes in the category of shorts.

November is Miami Live Music Month!

Burgerliscious, the kick-off event to Live Music Month will be held at Hartnett Park on November 3rd from 5:30-10:00pm. More than 25 restaurants are participating in the event, and there will be music by DJ Mayner, Fusik, and Artofficial.

Social Distortion will also be performing at the Fillmore Miami Beach on November 4th, and the infamous Sleepless Night Miami Beach, the 13-hour cultural arts and entertainment festival with over 150 free events will be on November 5th all down the beach. The events are diverse, ranging from street theatre to dramatic stage performances, jazz to opera, ballet to hip-hop. Mansion Nightclub

Mansion- Sometimes it can be hard to get in, unless you have women with you. The drinks are expensive and way too small for the price, tips are included, and the credit card minimum is $50. Make sure you pre-party before coming to here! There is decent music and a lot of young people. The place itself is pretty spacious and has a lot of different bars spread out inside.

Mangos Tropical Cafe

Mangos TropicalCafe has one of the longest running Cabaret shows in the country! From noon until 4:00 am, live bands and exotic shows perform and there are many things to be experienced. First is the Mojito Room, where you can experience a "Night in Havana" listening to Salsa, Merengue, and a live Timbalero, while enjoying a large copper sculpture of the River of Grass, the Everglades. Miami Live Music Month (November)

Miami Live Music Month (November) is kicking off with the Burgerliscious event in Coral Gables at Hartnett Park! Sleepless Night Miami Beach is also a Miami Live Music event, taking place November 5-6, and the Nestor Torres concert for the New Renaissance on November 11th. The Black Eyed Peas will also be performing November 23rd at the Sunlife Stadium, and Ricky Martin will be performin November 26th at the Fontainebleau!

Love Hate- Sunday nights feature old-school hip hop jams and is probably the best night for this club. Nothing at this club happens before midnight. This bar is on the southern end of South Beach, and the crowd is less crazed than what you can experience in other clubs. It's small and dim inside with tattoo themed artwork on the walls.

Louis Bar & Lounge- made by the same creators of Prive and SET and located in the Gansevoort South Hotel. It is easier to get in here than many of the clubs on the beach with nicer bouncers than I've experienced at other clubs. It's a smaller club, and not overwhelming like the Mansion. Girls get in free, but guys have to pay a $25 cash only cover.

LIV- High-class club, so make sure you dress appropriately! It's hard to get in here, they treat you by your face, your gender, how you look. The club is located in the Fontainebleau, so the valet is expensive and there will be a cover. Depending on if there are any celebrities appearing, the club may or may not be easy to get into.

Short film director Christopher Flach, who delighted riders with his work during the 2007 and 2009 installations of Sleepless Night Miami Beach, is back by popular demand. He will be featuring his 2011 films – “Lost Moment,” “2012,” and “The Sneeze” – which were screened at Brooklyn Short Film Festival, Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival and the Coney Island Film Festival.

Sometimes there's no cover charge, unlike a lot of clubs on South Beach, but the drinks are ridiculously expensive- alike other clubs in Miami Beach!
