ZOO TOTS - Thanksgiving with Friends: November 15, 2012

This month we give thanks for all the things that make us happy and keep us together. One of the things we enjoy doing during this season is sharing a nice meal with our family. Animals also have favorite foods that they like to “feast” on and feed their families. This session will include hands-on activities on animals’ favorite treats and yummy snacks for the children, too!

Animal Matters at Zoo Miami- November 10, 2012

What do animals do to prepare for winter? The weather starts getting cooler: many trees lose their leaves and food may become very scarce, but animals have many neat ways to get ready. Have lots of fun at this Animal Matters class exploring how animals get to work making sure they have enough food and a warm shelter during the winter!

Miami Children's Museum presents The Wizard of Oz™ Children's Educational Exhibition- September 22

The Wizard of Oz traveling exhibit is a 2,500 sq. foot interactive exhibit that will invite guests of all ages to embark on a multi-sensory, cross-disciplinary exploration of the Land of Oz. They engage in a journey of discovering personal strengths and gifts using: literacy, visual, musical and performing arts, reflection on movie characters, values and strengths, investigating light and science, overcoming physical challenges and personal reflection and decision-making.

National Children's Book Week- May 7-13

Join MCM to celebrate National Children's Book Week. Every day at 3:30, there will be a reading of a different book and an activity to go along with the book. So help decide who is better in Shark vs. Train by Chris Barton & Tom Lichtenheld or listen to the story of I Broke My Truck by Mo Willems. Please note all the normal 3:30 drop ins are being replaced with this activity for this entire week. Admission Price: $15, Florida Residents: $12, children under 12 months of age: free, MCM Members: Complimentary.
