Design Miami November 29th- December 4th

Design Miami is an Art Basal event, presenting the best international design galleries exhibiting extraordinary historic and contemporary design. Designers, collectors, dealers and curators from around the world participate in lectures, exhibits and design installations.

Design Miami/ is more than a marketplace for collectible design, where the world’s top galleries gather to present museum-quality exhibitions of 20th and 21st century furniture, lighting and objets of art.

Art Deco Walking Tours!

Join a ninety-minute walking tour to get an introduction to the Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and Miami Modern (MiMo) styles found within the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District. Explore hotels, restaurants, and other commercial structures with a visit to a number of interiors.

Tours leave from the Art Deco Gift Shop at 1200 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach.
$20 for adults, $15 for senior/students, free for MDPL members.

Schedule: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat, and Sun at 10:30 a.m. Thurs at 6:30 p.m.

Art Deco Walking Tour

Discover the colorful history of South Beach dating back to the 1930's on an Art Deco Walking Tour! Learn about the vision and struggle of the pioneers, the hero who single-handedly saved the Art Deco buildings, the influence of the Mafia, the true Miami Vice stories, and the melting pot of ethnic groups that led to Miami's nickname, the Maginal City. This walking tour takes you in and out of buildings, teaches historical tales, and shows you architectual and design delights. Pets are also welcome!
