Everglades National Park Vintage Day Celebration- March 2, 2013

This year's theme, "The Battle to Preserve Paradise," explores the rich stories of the Everglades during the first half of the twentieth century. Park admission at the Homestead entrance will be waived for the day and all activities are free of charge for the whole family. Participants will also be able to complete a special stamp collection commemorating the historical characters being portrayed at the event. After a day of fun, don't forget to cool off with an ice cream treat, compliments of the Everglades Association. 10a - 3p

Greater Miami and the Beaches has many unique film venues and events such as SoundScape at New World Center. Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry, New World Center features a 7,000 square foot projection wall on which concerts, video art and films will be shown free-of-charge to audiences in SoundScape, a 2.5 acre public park, designed by Dutch architectural firm West 8.
