The Adrienne Arsht Center of the Performing Arts in Miami is
one of the world’s leading venues and organizations for performing arts. The
Center is home to the Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, America’s
Orchestral Academy, and the New World Symphony. The Arsht Center prides itself
in showing innovative programming, corresponding to South Florida’s diversity,
and is a host to impactful community education and outreach initiatives. The
venue seats 2400 in the Ziff Ballet Opera House, 2200 in the Knight Concert
Hall, and is also comprised of the black box Carnival Studio Theater, a
restored Carnival Tower, and the Peacock Foundation Studio and Education Center.
The feature of this year’s 8th annual Flamenco
Festival will be led by flamenco’s reigning queen, Sara Baras. Sara Baras is
known for her captivating stage presence and has been an internationally
famous, awarded dancer for more than 20 years. The Sara Baras dance company,
the premiere flamenco dance company in the world, will be performing a show
with vibrant, modern choreography, mixed with traditional flamenco, set to thrilling,
live scores by magnificent flamenco musicians. The show is sure to capture all
the passion, emotion, and drama of flamenco.
