Get Ready for Art Basel! December 1-4, 2016

In our American show, 267 leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa show significant works from the masters of Modern and contemporary art, as well the new generation of emerging stars. Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films, and editioned works of the highest quality are on display in the main exhibition hall. Ambitious large‐scale artworks, films and performances become part of the city's outdoor landscape at nearby Collins Park and SoundScape Park.

Art Basel Miami Beach has announced the schedule of the fair’s film program. It will feature 50 films by and about artists under the rubric “Our Hidden Futures,” selected by David Gryn, the director of Daata Editions. In addition, the feature-length film The Troublemakers — The Story of Land Art, 2015, by James Crump, which was chosen by curator Marian Masone, will screen at the Colony Theatre on Friday, December 4, at 8:30 p.m.

The Adrienne Arsht Center of the Performing Arts in Miami is one of the world’s leading venues and organizations for performing arts. The Center is home to the Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, America’s Orchestral Academy, and the New World Symphony. The Arsht Center prides itself in showing innovative programming, corresponding to South Florida’s diversity, and is a host to impactful community education and outreach initiatives. The venue seats 2400 in the Ziff Ballet Opera House, 2200 in the Knight Concert Hall, and is also comprised of the black box Carnival Studio Theater, a restored Carnival Tower, and the Peacock Foundation Studio and Education Center.

The feature of this year’s 8^th annual Flamenco Festival will be led by flamenco’s reigning queen, Sara Baras. Sara Baras is known for her captivating stage presence and has been an internationally famous, awarded dancer for more than 20 years. The Sara Baras dance company, the premiere flamenco dance company in the world, will be performing a show with vibrant, modern choreography, mixed with traditional flamenco, set to thrilling, live scores by magnificent flamenco musicians. The show is sure to capture all the passion, emotion, and drama of flamenco.

For its 53rd year, U.S. Antique Shows welcomes attendees and exhibitors back to The Original Miami Beach Antique Show, the world’s largest indoor antique show, which will be held Jan. 30 – Feb. 3, 2014 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This must-attend event showcases 1,000 established dealers from across the globe, featuring Renaissance to Art Deco era collections such as fine art, American and European silver, antique jewelry, 17th-19th century furniture, and more.
