Calle Ocho is a vibrant, Latin street festival, the largest
in the country, and has been bringing the community together since Carnaval
began, 38 years ago. The festival is held in Little Havana, where couples will dance
salsa in the streets and musicians rock the stages, performing meringue,
reggaeton, bachata, hip hop, rap, jazz, and more!
The city blocks are packed with 12 stages, showcasing tons of musicians and demonstrating traditional dances.Chino & Nacho, the Latin Grammy-award winning duo, will be headlining as the Kings of Carnaval Miami 2015. Coca-Cola is sponsoring and will be having contests for local, up-and-coming artists to perform live and for the finale for their teen dance contest, Comparte El Movemiento, on the Coca-Cola Music Stage.
There is much
entertainment, but what really draws the crowds is the food, and partiers can taste
the different cultures of Latin America and the Caribbean.
