Taste 30 of the best burgers in town at this burger showdown while washing it all down with complimentary open bar including Blue Moon craft beer, wine and spirits. Guests and local celebrity judges, including Chef Norman Van Aken, will vote for their favorite burgers. An online competition will take place where cooking enthusiasts can submit their own recipe for the "Best Backyard Burger." The Grind has partnered with Miami Culinary Institute to give culinary students the opportunity to work alongside Miami's top restaurants. VIP tickets are available for those who want to start sampling, voting and mingling an hour before general admission while enjoying the benefits of the VIP lounge. The popular Jazz at MOCA series presents free outdoor concerts on the last Friday of every month. Music starts at 8 p.m. The museum is open from 7 to 10 p.m. by donation.

The Coalition of Florida Farmworker Organizations COFFO’s Harvest Farmers’ Market supports local farmers. It features local fresh-from-the farm harvested daily, fruits, vegetables, strawberries, beans, sweet onions, squash, cabbage, herbs, and organic produce. It takes place in Florida City, in the heart of South Florida’s agricultural area. Take Turnpike exit 1 North, go west four blocks and it will be on the right hand side. Every Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Deering Estate at Cutler
This island celebration of food and music on Biscayne Bay features Florida's freshest fish and seafood prepared by top local restaurants, celebrity chef cooking demos, ongoing live entertainment, the Bahamian Junkanoo, pontoon boat rides, a Lil' Shrimp Kids Zone, Deering Discovery Cove, an artist village and tours of the Deering Estate. 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
