Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra- March 25th

At these 30-minute concerts the orchestra creates a warm, relaxed atmosphere where children and their families can learn about classical music. Silence is NOT required. Refreshments are served after each concert and the audience has the opportunity to interact with the musicians. 4 p.m.

    Barnacle Under the Moonlight- February 10th

    There is musical family fun to be had at Barnacle State Park in Coconut Grove. Casual concerts are held here on the Second Friday of the month from September through May.

    Bring a picnic, bring your friends and enjoy a lovely evening. Gates open at 6:00 pm. Music lasts from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. No pets and no alcohol are allowed. The cost is $7 for ages 10 and up, $3 for ages 6 - 9; and those under 6 are free.

    The Barnacle is located at 3485 Main Highway in Coconut Grove.

    Festival Miami 2011

    Festival Miami is the annual music festival that opens the South Florida arts season, provides superior and diverse musical programming each year, while expanding academic opportunities and cultural enrichment to all of South Florida and its visitors.

    Festival Miami presents between 25 to 30 concerts, master classes, and lectures over a five-week period. Each event falls under one of the four unique themes, which include: “Great Performances,” “Jazz and Beyond,” “Creative American Music,” and “Music of the Americas.”

    Festival Miami strives to provide innovative programming that reaches across the cultural boundaries of the South Florida community.
