Splendor in the Garden- Fairchild Botanical Garden- January 23, 2014

Local 10 News Anchor Laurie Jennings serves as this year’s emcee for Splendor in the Garden, the third annual fashion show fundraiser co-chaired by Swanee DiMare and Frances Sevilla-Sacasa. Ken Downing, senior vice president and fashion director for Neiman Marcus, and Neiman Marcus Coral Gables are putting together the hottest styles for Spring 2014. Enjoy a champagne reception and delicious lunch by Le Basque Catering as you watch models walk down the runway in the most coveted looks and colors of the season. Clothes can be purchased right off the runway at the Backstage Boutique.                                                                                              

The 2014 Fairchild Philanthropy Honorees will also be recognized.
Splendor in the Garden is sponsored by Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne and Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables & Cutler Bay.

All proceeds will benefit Fairchild’s conservation science, education, and horticulture programs.
Preferred tables of 10 are $3,000.

The Ramble: A Garden Festival at Fairchild Botanic Gardens- November 9-11, 2012

The Ramble: A Garden Festival has been hosted by Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden for more than 70 years.  

The Ramble is South Florida's most loved and oldest garden party. Come and experience a blend of old traditions and new introductions with Nell's Tea Garden, the largest plant sale in South Florida, antiques and collectibles, garden themed art, old and rare books, Kid Way, live music and the incredible ramble raffle.

Howl-o-Ween at Fairchild- October 31

Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM

This Howl-o-ween bring your dog to Fairchild! 

Enjoy special activities for pups as you parade through Fairchild’s lush tropical surroundings.

Howl-o-ween Rules:

• To protect our plant collections, please keep your dogs on the path or on grassy areas. Dogs are not permitted to walk onto planting beds. 
• Dogs must be current on all vaccinations and have a current rabies tag attached to their collar.
• Dogs must be leashed at all times and under the control of their handlers. Do not unleash your dog at any time.
• Dog handlers are required to clean-up after their dogs.  Dog handlers must use "doggie bags" and dispose of them in the designated receptacles.
• Aggressive dogs are not permitted in the garden. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove, any dog thought to be dangerous to visitors or other dogs.
• Dogs in heat are prohibited from entering the garden.
• Most importantly, we ask that you use good judgment on all matters concerning your dog. This will ensure an enjoyable and safe visit for you and your best pal.
