On the heels of a highly successful Miami International Art Fair
(MIA), International Fine Art Expositions is pleased to announce a
series of MIA Encore shows aboard the $40 million exhibition megayacht,
SeaFair, docked at Bayfront Park in the heart of Miami’s Downtown Arts
& Entertainment District. The series will debut with an April
edition the 4th – 7th and continue with a second installment May 2nd –
5th, 2013.
Each MIA Encore show will gather a carefully selected array
of 28 international dealers presenting both established contemporary
and emerging artists. Works will be composed of contemporary,
cutting-edge art of all media including photography, painting, mixed
media, sculpture, jewelry, installation and video.
In addition to the bevy of contemporary art works onboard,
the fair will feature an exciting schedule of events including
“ArtAfterHours Cocktail Cruises” Friday and Saturday night from
10pm-12am and a “Art on the Bay” brunch cruise on Sunday from 11am –
1pm. All SeaFair cruise events are by separate ticket which can be
purchased on the website. A highlight of the program will be “Appraisal
Saturday.” Saturday, April 6th, from 10am-2pm Miller Gaffney from the
PBS Series “Market Warriors” will be offering complimentary art
appraisals. The event will be followed by a lecture “Contemporary
Passions for Art,” presented by Ms. Gaffney from 3pm - 4pm. For further

April MIA Encore will launch the inaugural Downtown Miami
“First Friday” on April 5th from 6-10pm, in collaboration with the arts
and culture community of Downtown Miami. This new cultural initiative
shines a light on the growing art market in Downtown Miami, bringing
together non-profit arts organizations and local galleries for special
exhibitions, artists open studios, tours, exclusive openings and artist
performances. Admission to MIA Encore will be complimentary for the
duration of First Friday hours from 6-10pm. Among the participating
organizations are Bas Fisher Invitational, Dimensions Variable, TM
Sisters, Turn-Based Press, Artisan Lounge, Etra Fine Art/Wine Bar, Nina
Torres Gallery, Eleazar Delgado Studio, Giants in the City,
Intercontinental Hotel Art Project Space and Art in Public Places.

Contemporary Passions for Art, Miller Gaffney of the PBS Series “Market Warriors”
Art Historian, Appraiser, Lecturer, Ms Gaffney gives an
overview of the current trends in the contemporary art market, as well
as discusses the question of using art as an asset. It covers buying
and selling, and the drivers of connoisseurship and collector demand.
Ms. Gaffney will offer market insights regarding the fundamentals of
collecting art, and most important, getting it right!

Miller Gaffney is an expert in the art and media industries,
having worked with leading auction houses, commercial galleries,
artists, museums, collectors, as well as L’Antiquaire & The
Connoisseur, Art + Auction magazine, and LTB Holding. She lectures and
writes on all aspects of art. Miller has appeared on the leading TV
show, Antiques Roadshow, and is currently a lead figure on the popular
PBS series, Market Warriors. In 2006, she founded Miller Gaffney Art
Advisory in New York to collaborate with private and corporate
collectors with appraisals, acquisitions, divestitures and management
of fine art collections. Miller is a graduate of the Sotheby's
