Bring your family and experience the 11th Annual Big Cat-Nap
Campout! Pitch your tent in one of the zoo's own "grasslands" for a real
camping experience. It's happening Saturday, February 1, so pack up
your camping gear and head on over to experience a night of wilderness,
complete with sound effects (provided by Zoo animals)! Children must be
at least 6 years old and in the first grade to participate. Next day
admission to the Zoo is included. Pre-registration is required.
Miami City Ballet’s Ballet for Young People program brings the entire
family together through dancing and fun. This year, MCB’s international
dance stars perform George Balanchine’s delightful The Steadfast Tin Soldier and Sir Frederick Ashton’s enchanting Les Patineurs (The Skating Party). Based loosely on Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, The Steadfast Tin Soldier
recounts a sweet love story between a tin soldier and a pretty paper
doll. The stage then is transformed into an intimate skating pond
surrounded by a winter wonderland in Les Patineurs... there is
even snow! Audiences of all ages will leave with a smile on their face
after experiencing the joy of these charming works. Passes are free!
