Deering Estate Winder Wonderland- December 1-31, 2012

Throughout December, visitors can tour the elegant and historic houses as they come alive with holiday accents and decorations. Guests can explore the beautifully landscaped main grounds and historic buildings at their own leisure or they can enjoy one of the Estate’s guided house tours held daily at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

(except for December 25th; the Deering Estate at Cutler will be closed on Christmas Day)
10:00 am to 5:00 pm (ticket office closes at 4:00 pm)
Free with Estate admission: $12 for adults & $7 for children (ages 4-14)
 
The garden club members, students, and teachers have used over 600 yards of ribbon, 900 feet of garland, and thousands of handmade ornaments of various themes to decorate the
Richmond Cottage and Stone House.

GroveHouse Artists is pleased to announce its annual General Membership and Plein Air Exhibit displayed throughout the historic homes of the Deering Estate at Cutler. Opening: Wednesday, June 20th from 7 to 9 p.m. Free admission to the estate for the opening
light refreshments and a cash bar will be available. The exhibit will run through August 31st, 2012.

Deering Estate Spookover- May 26, 2012

Experience the Deering Estate overnight when the lights are out. The League of Paranormal Investigators will take guests on a Paranormal Investigation of the historic houses and main grounds. Equipment used to detect spectral presences - such as pendulums, dowsing rods, EMF meters, voice recorders and cameras are welcome! This is not a sleepover, we will investigate all night. Please dress comfortably - closed toes shoes, long pants, comfortable shirt, bring your own flashlight, mosquito repellant and any equipment you wish to use. Evidence, a Dance Company- February 18th

Evidence, A Dance Company, founded in 1985 by acclaimed choreographer Ronald K. Brown, focuses on the seamless integration of traditional African dance with contemporary choreography and spoken word. On this program is a new work by Brown performed to music by Stevie Wonder called On Earth Together.
