Fete de la Musique- December 21, 2013

A live music celebration in the streets, public areas, restaurants and cafes by amateur and professional musicians during the longest day of the year and first day of summer, the summer solstice and the first day of winter, the shortest day of the year. People wander from place to place and enjoy a night of free music of all styles from classical to funk, R&B, rock, blues, jazz and more.
    
The Fete de la Musique, thought up by an American musician in 1976 to build peace by the means of music, first took place in Paris / France in 1982, and is now celebrated world-wide in more than 450 cities in over 100 countries.
     Fete de la Musique Coconut Grove is always celebrated on the 21st of June and the 21st of December.

Grov Green Market- December 12, 2013

The Grove Green Market is held every Thursday, supplying locally grown fresh produce from South Florida farmers. It supports healthy living and encourages sustainable growing practices by bringing local farmers to Coconut Grove. All participating farmers and vendors are located within just 40 miles of the District. In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, the market will also feature vendors selling local honey, jams, olive oils, artisan breads, grass-fed beef, seafood, spices, and juices. 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Coconut Grove Historic Black Heritage Music Series Presents: A Labor of Love Concert- August 31, 2013

Wholesome, family friendly rhythm & blues and soul music featuring Soul Man Bobby Stringer, with The Special Touch Band; along with friends, The Ladies of Soul performing a Motown Review, and Mr. Jazz Pizzazz - Mel Dancy performing on the baby grand piano. Supported by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners. Time: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Fete de la Musique Concert in the Streets- December 21, 2012

This winter event will have musicians located throughout Coconut Grove on sidewalks, in courtyards, inside restaurants and clubs and the public can stroll about and listen for free. Guide maps will be available at restaurants and will be handed out by red beret topped guides on the streets. A variety of musical styles from jazz and blues, to rock, Latin, African and pop music reflective of musical culture in South Florida will be offered! 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
