Annual Chanukah Klezmer Concert- December 16, 2012
An
exciting afternoon with festive Klezmer music will fill the halls of
the Museum and have you dancing in your seats. This year's concert will
feature Paul Green and the Klezmer East band, along with Maria Rivas, a
Latin Jazz and World Music musician and performer. Together they will
fuse European classics with more contemporary pieces, including Jewish
music, Jazz and Latin Jazz to create a new and unique concert
experience. Klezmer music originated in the shtetls of Eastern Europe,
where Jewish troubadours known as Klezmorim, performed at Jewish
simchas, particularly weddings. You won't want to miss this rousing
performance! Reservations on a first come-first served basis.
Cost: Members $20; Non-Members: $36. Concert will be at 2 p.m.
Jewish Museum of Florida 301 Washington Ave. Miami Beach, FL 33139 305/672-5044
