There’s a big sound coming out of Miami. It’s a
loud, in your face sound with a hip-hop lean and sometimes a tropical
vibe. It’s dirty, sexy and full of hype, and it’s called GTA. Matt Toth
and Julio Mejia make up the dynamic duo. Dedicated to their music, they
stay holed up in their bedroom studio building beats that can set off
any kind of dance floor. They’re stealing the stage from their hood to
New York, LA and everything in between, and it just comes down to how
they play their game. Catch them as they return to their home town and
take over Super Fridays at Mansion Nightclub in Miami Beach.
The
popular Jazz at MOCA series presents free outdoor concerts on the last
Friday of every month. Music starts at 8 p.m. The museum is open from 7
to 10 p.m. by donation.
The Aaron Lebos Reality is a powerful, all original music group from
Miami, Fl. The music encompasses styles of Jazz, Funk, Rock, R’n'B,
Latin and World Music.
The musicians in the group have been friends and played together for
years in various groups but joined together in early 2012 for a new
project with a new sound and magic happened instantly. The music is
written by Aaron Lebos and arranged by all the members in the group, who
on their own are some of the most in demand musicians in South Florida
and beyond.

Handmade gifts are seldom
disappointing. The same can be said for locally purchased or
one-of-a-kind items. Although South Florida has a plethora of talented
artists, growers and crafters, it is often an arduous task hopping from
one shop or another to buy gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping
list. Support your local economy and find everything you need in one
place at the Botanical Bazaar, Sunday November 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This annual fair held in the Garden features 30 local artisans selling
botanically themed and plant-derived wares such as body scrubs, candles,
handmade paper, flowers and more. This year also features a local band
playing live music and a farmer's market.
The farmer's market features fresh
breads, jams, honey, granola, herbs, and salad greens from SoFla foodie
favorites such as Zak the Baker and Laurie's Pantry. There will also be a
yoga class at 1 p.m. in the Banyan Room and food trucks selling hot
lunchtime munchies. Leashed pets are encouraged. For more information or to apply as a vendor call 305.673.7256 ext. 201 or visit www.mbgarden.org.
