Tropical 5k- January 26, 2013

The last weekend in January is filled with events brought to you by US Road Sports & Entertainment of Florida and this event is sure to add to the exciting line-up of happenings. Introducing… The Tropical 5K. This race will serve as a sneak preview and warm-up for those running the ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon. Friends and family not running the Marathon or Half Marathon will also be able to share in the inspiring ING Miami Marathon Weekend experience.

This is the race for those who like to run along the streets of beautiful Miami and Miami Beach. Run the first portion of the ING Miami Marathon course the Saturday before the race as part of the Tropical 5K. Filled with great perks including finisher medals and a fantastic post race party. 7:30a

The time period selected for the Tropical 5K is historically among Miami's driest and coolest time of the year. Nevertheless, this is Miami and any weather is possible, we recommend that you plan and prepare for unfavorable conditions. The majority of the 5K course is run through un-shaded areas, be aware that this will lead to exposure to Miami's famous Sun.
