Celebrating the Fabulous Foods of Miami

Miami Spice will be taking place until September 30!
Miami Spice 2011 is a mouth-watering restaurant promotion showcasing the very best of Miami cuisine. Miami's top restaurants offer three-course meals (Lunch $22, Dinner $35) featuring signature dishes created by world-renowned chefs. Discover the tropical fusion of ingredients that makes Miami dining so wonderfully out of the ordinary. SoBe Local Food Tours will be held Wednesday-Saturdays at 12:00pm and last about 2.5 hours. Guests travel to 5 "food stops" to experience the melting pot of cultures that is Miami Beach. Visitors will experience a crash course in Art Deco architecture while visiting mom-and-pop food shops, small eateries, and restaurants to enjoy traditional Cuban, gourmet Italian, fresh, in-season foods, Argentinean foods, contemporary Peruvian cuisine, and a grand finale of sweets. The cost is $59 per person, which includes all foods and liquids on the tour!

The 16th Annual Ballet Festival of Miami will be taking place all over South Florida from August 26th to September 18th.
Over the past fifteen years, the festival has brought to the stage hundreds of talented principal dancers representing the best companies from around the world and a special performance dedicated to young medal winners of International Ballet Competitions. Now it is one of the most acclaimed ballet festivals in the United States!

Art Deco Walking Tours, Miami Beach

15th Annual Brazilian Film Festival, August 19-27
The Brazilian Film Festival of Miami is having its 15th Anniversary, August 19 to 27.
The Competitive Screenings will take place once again at the Colony Theater, with short and feature films competing for the Crystal Lens Award, the most prestigious award in Brazilian cinema outside of the country. Miami Beach Cinematheque will also host the Brazilian Film Festival, holding special screenings from August 19 – 23.
The Festival is recognized by the Brazilian Agency of Cinema, the Ministry of Culture, the Audiovisual Secretariat, APEX and local governments as an effective business and communication platform for media, companies and professionals from the audiovisual sector.
