In The Beginning, There Was A Flower That Grew In A Garden On The Edge Of Reality And The Beginning Of Fantasy.

           ORCHID is a dream world of song, dance, glamour, burlesque, aerial acrobatics and variety arts set inside a seductively surreal pleasure garden installed at the gateway of Miami's Design District. Partnering with PLEASURE GARDEN Entertainment LLC - and in the tradition of Cavalia - the Adrienne Arsht Center is proud to continue bringing world-class diverse entertainment not just to the Center, but to various sites throughout Miami.
The show tells the story of Orchid, the creation of a reclusive and melancholic Master Gardener, as she searches for happiness through a seductively surreal garden.
          Along the way she discovers strange and wonderful creatures such as Poison Ivy, Honeysuckle Rose, Lily and the Bee Keeper, who are intoxicated by her beauty, mystery and sensuality.
          Part Moulin Rouge and part Cabaret, this spectacularly lush live entertainment experience will indulge your senses, alter your reality, and take you to unexpected places...
          Age Recommendation: Orchid may not be appropriate for children 14 or under as there is some partial nudity.

DINNER:
          The Pleasure Garden Restaurant: An exclusive pop up restaurant by a local super chef will indulge the senses with unique offerings created especially for the Pleasure Garden including signature dishes such as Briased Short Rib Beef, Jamon Serrano and melting cheese Croquetas and Fried Chicken.

DanceAble- January 31- February 2, 2013

This 14th annual danceAble features Action Conversation, an interactive workshop on difference and politics, led by noted educator, filmmaker and choreographer Victoria Marks on Thursday, January 31. Following that, danceAble will offer two days of identical concerts, February 1 & 2 with Heather Maloney's new work unquiet | body and screenings of films by Victoria Marks.

danceAble is a project for able and non-able dancers, produced and presented since the year 2000 by Tigertail and Florida Dance Association. It focuses on dance as a vital art form for persons with and without disabilities.
